Toys and tools that support visual stimulation, tracking, and development — for children with low vision, cortical visual impairment (CVI), or other visual differences. Vetted against what TVIs, OTs, and visual impairment specialists consistently recommend.

A TVI is a specially trained educator who works with visually impaired children, often as part of the EI team. They provide individualized guidance on toy selection, environmental modifications, and learning adaptations specific to your child's visual profile.
If your child has a visual impairment and does not have a TVI on their IFSP team, ask your service coordinator about adding one. TVIs can be part of EI services from birth onward.
Stimulating visual attention, tracking, and engagement — especially important for premature babies, infants with low vision, and children with CVI
Building visual tracking, hand-eye coordination, and visual engagement with objects and faces
Tactile exploration compensates for and supports visual learning — building skills that don't rely entirely on vision
Visual impairment is highly individualized — what works for one child may not work for another. CVI in particular requires individualized assessment of which colors, complexity levels, and visual environments work best for each child. Always work with your child's TVI and OT for personalized toy and environmental recommendations. This page is a starting point, not a prescription.
